CATT TETHER PROCESS The GRIPPS CATT method, is an acronym for remembering a highly effective system to safe tool tethering. The acronym is short for CONNECT, ANCHOR, TETHER and TRANSPORT. It is important to not only buy the correct and safe equipment for you or your workers, but also ensure that everybody working at height understands the 'how to' for implementing best practice drop prevention. Widely recognised, the CATT system can be used by any worker as a means of approaching tool tethering. Attach a Connection point to your tool that has the C CONNECT correct load rating, is suited to the task at hand and your work environment. Identify the Anchor point that you will be securing back to that is suited to the weight of your tool.
