Souriau UTOX series Designed to withstand the toughest conditions The new UTOX series is a range of metal bayonet connectors that have been designed to withstand severe mechanical and environmental conditions, with a higher resistance to shock and vibration than plastic connectors. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications with a lifespan of up to 27 years in-application, the UL/IEC certified UTOX series connectors are a safe and reliable solution. Its waterproof performances also enable it to withstand repeated pressure washing (IP69K) as well as immersion in 10m (30ft) of water during one week. The UTOX series is designed to withstand (up to 500 hours) climate ingress and exposure to salt spray or corrosive atmospheres while still maintaining mechanical and electrical functionality. Signal shielding One of the main advantages of using a metal connector is also to protect the signal integrity with shielded cables. The UTOX series is qualified for use in electromagnetic radiation areas, ensuring the integrity of your signal and data transmission. A wide range of configurations The UTOX series can be used in a wide range of configurations and electrical layouts, allowing you to save space on your equipment. The bayonet locking mechanism ensures a quick and secure connection and disconnection. Its design makes the UTOX series connectors easier than ever for operators to handle quickly. You can also combine both signal and power within the same hybrid layouts to simplify your electrical systems and save money on installation and maintenance operations. It offers the flexibility to redirect the cable exit from a straight configuration to a 90° angle, effectively preventing undue strain on the cable terminated at the connector. Additionally, by enveloping the wires within the molding, overmolding establishes a protective barrier that effectively guards against the ingress of liquids into the equipment, even in the event of cable jacket damage.
